Choose the right tools and get the most out of your organization's data. We can help.
Organizations need to collect, manage, and analyze multiple sources of farm data while keeping it secure and private. Here's how we help, with examples below.

Farm organizations face a crowded, fast-moving software market and the wrong tool choice wastes time, erodes farmer trust, and leaves critical data gaps. We can help you:

Many farm organizations struggle to turn collected data into reliable insights due to fragmented workflows, proprietary platforms, and under-resourced infrastructure. We can help:

Too often data is collected that never drives decisions. Form organizations need analysis, reporting and visualization that moves findings from researchers to funders, farmers, and partners. We can help you:
Trust your work to a team with a strong track record of delivering impactful data-management projects in food systems. Our Sci's expertise spans farm-technology infrastructure consulting, agricultural research design and data analysis, data-driven land stewardship, and community-of-practice development.
From 2018 to 2023 we built and managed a soil and produce testing lab — plus the software, sample collection, data management, and reporting infrastructure — successfully handling 30,000+ processed samples from 30+ states across 15+ crops. We also built an interactive data explorer so farm partners could compare their results to the broader community, and worked with partners to analyze the dataset and produce reports and peer-reviewed journal articles.
We built a custom data collection, management, and quality review pipeline for Pasa using SurveyStack and a customized farmOS module. The pipeline supports collection, translation, and quality control of farm practice and soil health data for their Soil Health Benchmarking Study — over 14,000 activities from more than 200 farms.
We're partnering with multiple organizations to develop a multi-tenant farmOS module. The customized module enables an organization to manage data from hundreds of farms from a single platform — quick forms simplify data collection, customized views simplify quality review and reporting, and producers retain access to their submitted data.
Collaboration is often hampered by a lack of interoperable data. We partnered with AxiLab, QLever, Farmier, OpenTEAM, and the USDA to develop the Common Farm Convention — a set of guidelines for collecting and storing interoperable farm-practice and soil-health data, including the Modus standard for labelling soil-health lab data.
We bill hourly with no minimum. Start when you need to and stop when you want. Many farms and organizations qualify for cost-share programs that cover some or all of our work together.
We have a combined 35 years of on-farm, supply chain, and research agriculture experience — conventional to regenerative, row crops to mixed veg. We'll help you build a more efficient, adaptable, easy-to-use system that supports your farm growth and success.
